The little green book is one of the first sketchbooks I created after a particularly dry creative period. Up until 2018, I had not made keeping a sketchbook a central component of my practice. To this day, I have a habit of sketching ideas out on random sheets of paper. The vast majority of these sketches end up being thrown away and recycled. It was this book that allowed me to begin a process where I could curate and keep certain ideas that I felt were still raw. I was able to experiment with collage, paint, and ink in a way that was more loose than my traditional pen and ink drawings.
